  1. Hi Molly
Your holiday looks amazing and so do the photos of stuff you've been doing in Georgia. It all looks very exciting and fun. I loved seeing photos of you and Lily together! Keep up the good work and when JJ gets in from cricket I will show him your blog.
    Catch you soon Lorri.

  2. Hi Molly,
I love reading your blog and showing the children that Mum used to teach. Italy is one of my favourite places to visit. How was your first day of school? Maybe you could write and tell us about what school is like in Tbilisi. Keep up the great work

  3. Hi Molly,

How wonderful to hear of all the exciting things you and your family are doing. Your mum keeps me up-to-date with emails too and its so exciting to hear of the adventures you're all having.

The class prepared an email for you a while ago but it wouldn't send when we tried, so we'll try again tomorrow if I can get this one to go. I can't remember all of what we said, but it did include that we are all missing you.

At school we have done our speeches - Jess, Leka and Mackenzie all got into the Syndicate finals as well as Lucy, Leah Mackinnon, Katelyn Dyer, Nikki and Hannah. Lucy won the Year 5 competition with a great speech about life on the farm in Dr Suess style. She now goes on to the West Cluster. Last week we had our Sevens tournament which all Year 5 & 6's took part in - they had the choice of soccer, hockey, netball, basketball and rugby, but the rugby numbers weren't high enough to make up a team. Reassure dad that it's not that there wasn't enough interest in rugby, it was more about being in an "Over 40kg" team and some of the opposition are well over 40kg which makes it hard for our 41kg players! They got pummeled last year apparently so that put a few off.

Fred and Freda died after seven years as class pets. They have been replaced with goldfish, Nemo and Bubbles; we think we will get two more as the tank is big enough, perhaps a Black More with
big googly eyes and a cleaning fish which Max says will keep the algae under control.

Louise Reay-Martin and her brothers have moved to Pyes Pa School and have settled in there very well. She and Manny were at the Sevens tournament so it was great to catch up with them.

We are off to the art gallery on Friday to see a photography exhibition and learn some of the tricks of the trade - your own photos are great. I love seeing Ruebe Kiwi's starring role in so many of them. I didn't realise the Leaning Tower of Pisa had such a lean!

You will have had your first day of school by the time you read this. Please let us know how it went and what it was like. I imagine it will be very different from what you are used to. I will share that with the class so they can reply to you.

Keep sharing all your wonderful experiences - we love hearing about them. Say hi to your family and thanks to Mum for her informative emails.

    Thinking of you,
    Joanne

  4. Hi Molly, this is being written on the big screen in the classroom so we're all here to add our bit. Sophie hopes you're having a good time and that she got into the class speech finals with her speech about snow leopards. Mackenzie wants you to know that Leah is away on a cruise ship around the islands, she won't be back to school until 21st September. Jess wants you to know that her speech that made it into the finals was about possums and she wants you to come back. Mackenzie's speech was about ocean pollution. Leka says good luck at your new school and we know that you will settle in really well. Matt says to say that he keeps getting into trouble "lol". Fletcher says hi - he's living in a shed at the moment while his dad builds their new home. Jared, Jacob and Troy say hi and hope you're having a nice time.
We all look forward to hearing about your new school.
    Love from Room 13.
